How to shop at Rikki Tikki Shop

1. Add to cart
When you have found an item in our shop which you wish to purchase, you are to simply click the button ”Add to cart”, and automatically the item will be registered in your shopping cart. After this you can either ‘Continue shopping now’ or ‘View cart and check out’.

2. From your shopping cart to checkout
When you are finished shopping, click the green shopping cart button in the upper right corner, and you will enter your shopping cart. If everything here is in order, you proceed to checkout by simply clicking the green button “Proceed to checkout”.

3. Check out and complete your purchase
At the checkout, you are to fill out a form with your personal information (name, address etc.), and once that is done, you are to choose a payment method. Once this has been done, you click the button “Place order now” to go through to the payment. If you have chosen to pay by credit card, you will automatically be lead on to our online payment system.

4. The order is completed
When you have completed the payment process, your order is completed, and you will receive an order confirmation by e-mail. When your order has been shipped, you will also receive a shipping confirmation and your invoice by e-mail.

Create your own customer account

By creating a customer account at our shop, you will be able to complete your purchases much more quickly, save several shipping addresses, monitor and track your orders and much more. When you place your first order at www.rikkitikkishop.com, you will be asked if you would like to create your own customer account for future use. When you log into your account, you need your e-mail address as well as a password. You can create an account at any time you wish. If you were to forget your password, you can always ask to have a new one sent to you. This happens automatically via the webshop.

Prices

All stated prices are retail prices VAT inclusive. Flaws in the pricing and sold-out items excepted. The prices are current prices.

Price guarantee

If you have seen one of our items in another shop at a lower price, we will sell you the item at the same low price that you have seen. We offer price guarantee on all of our items.

The price guarantee covers all of the items in our shop. However, the following requirements must be met:

  • The found item has to be completely identical to the one in our shop.
  • The found price must be available to everyone, and it must be valid at the time of issue of the price guarantee.
  • The price guarantee does not cover items which are sold from other countries than Denmark because other markets are often subject to other service and warranty regulations.
  • The price guarantee does not apply with retrospective effect.

Please note that we require documentation which proves that you can buy the item at a lower price somewhere else. The documentation has to be currently valid, and it should be presented to us in the form of a link etc.

Therefore the price guarantee does not cover:

  • Items offered on a first-come/first-served basis etc.
  • Limited quantity items.
  • Offers which are only for members of customer clubs etc.

Credit card

If you pay by credit card, you are always secured against misuse because you have the opportunity to decline a payment if something is not right on your account statement. The data you send when paying online with a credit card are encrypted with SSL (Secure Socket Layer) so that only Nets can read them.

In case your card should be misused in an internet shop which uses SSL in their payment system, you will not have any excess on your loss. Oppositely you always have an excess on your loss in physical shops if your card is misused with use of the pin number. SSL is an integrated part of our payment system here at Rikki Tikki Shop.

The price of your order will not be withdrawn from your account until we have shipped the order. There will never be withdrawn any more money from your account than what you have accepted at the purchase. If a change is made in your order from the time the order is placed until we ship it (e.g. if you regret a purchase etc.), this change will of course be adjusted in the payment.

Rikki Tikki Shop uses ePay which is a safe online payment system.

Shipping and postage

We offer delivery to all over the world, and all international orders are shipped with GLS International or UPS. Your shipping costs depend on the weight and size of your package and your geographical distance to us. Our system automatically chooses the cheapest solution for you. When your package has been shipped you will receive a confirmation of this including a link with which you can track your order. You can also check the status of your order by logging into your account on our homepage. If you have any questions about the status of your order, you are of course welcome to contact us. Please note that no orders are shipped until ALL ordered items are in stock.

Delivery time

We ship orders on all working days throughout the year. In general, you can expect that orders which are placed before 12 am on a working day are shipped on the same day.
The exact delivery time of an order depends on its destination.

Custom and import charges

Be aware that custom or import duties can be charged on your delivery once it reaches its destination. Any such duties are your responsibility. Unfortunately we have no control over these duties, and as they vary widely from country to country, we cannot even tell you how much you can be charged on a specific delivery. If you are worried that you might be charged custom or import duties on an order, it could be a good idea to contact your local customs office for relevant guidance.

Colour rendition

Please note that different computers, graphics cards and computer screens sometimes show colours differently. Therefore you cannot be sure that the colour of a product is reproduced completely right on your screen. This can especially be a problem for light colours. If you receive an item, whose colours do not live up to your expectations, you are of course welcome to utilize your right of cancellation.

Gift wrapping

When you shop with us, you have the opportunity of getting your items gift-wrapped. Gift wrapping costs only €1.49. Please note that the design of the gift-wrapping paper can change from day to day as we continuously purchase new gift-wrapping paper which suits the current trends and colours. Around Christmas you also have the opportunity of choosing Christmas wrapping paper – simply select this possibility when ordering your gift-wrapping. 

Right of cancellation

According to the Danish Sale of Goods Act, you always have 14 days right of cancellation when you shop online – However, we offer you 360 days full right of cancellation and return on goods acquired at www.rikkitikkishop.com. The right of cancellation runs from the day you receive your goods. Please note, this does not include customized and personalized elephants. If an item is taken into use before the expiration of the right of cancellation, and if you should hereafter regret your buy, you yourself are liable for any depreciation in the value of the item which is due to any other handling than the one necessary to test the item in a regular manner in a physical store. Therefore you should make sure to always return all items in the same condition as at receipt. It is a good idea to always keep the original packaging until you have decided to keep the item.

If you wish to utilize your right of cancellation, you are to fill out our return form and return it along with the return items. You yourself are responsible for the payment of the return, and it is your liability that all items are returned safely to us.

When we receive your return items, we pay you back the full price including any potential shipping costs which you may have had on your original order.

If it is estimated that any return item has been used as described above, you will only receive some or nothing of the price back depending on the commercial value of the item. You are free to choose between getting your money back and getting a gift token to rikkitikkishop.com. Simply state your choice on the return form. Please note that it can take up to two weeks from the receipt of the return form and the return items until your money is returned.

Right of exchange

With us, you always have 360 days full right of exchange on goods purchased at www.rikkitikkishop.com. The right of exchange runs from the day you receive your goods. Please note, this does not include customized and personalized elephants. If any item is taken into use before the expiration of the right of exchange, and if, hereafter, you should regret your buy and wish to exchange this item for another item, you yourself are liable for any depreciation in the value of this item, which is due to any other handling than the one necessary to test the item in a regular manner in a physical store. Therefore, make sure to always return all items in an unchanged condition. It is always a good idea to keep the original packaging until you have decided to keep the item.

If you wish to utilize your right of exchange, you are to fill out our return form and return it along with the return items. Please state your exchange wishes on the form. You yourself are responsible for the payment of the return, but in return we always pay the postage on your new delivery with the same delivery method that you chose for your original order. Please note that it is your liability that all return items are returned safely to us. If you wish to exchange an item for another item at a lower price, the balance will of course be transferred back to you. You are free to choose between getting your money back and getting a gift token to rikkitikkishop.com. Simply state your choice on the return form.

If on the other side you wish to exchange an item for another item at a higher cost, you are not to state exchange. Instead you are to return the item in accordance with right of cancellation and place a new order at our shop.

Warranty

When you shop at rikkitikkishop.com, you have 2 years warranty on items which break before the expiration of this period of time or which have other considerable flaws and/or deficiencies according to the Danish Sale of Goods Act. This means that in case of flaws and/or deficiencies, you are entitled to reparation, exchange, your money back or potentially abatement depending on the specific situation. To make a claim on an item, it is a requirement that the deficiency/flaw has not occurred due to misapplication or other tortious behaviour, or that the deficiency/flaw was already present in the item at the time of acquisition. Remember that notice of any defect shall be given within a reasonable time after manifestation. Timely notice is considered to be two months after manifestation at the latest.

When making a claim, it is important that you contact us before sending back any items so that we can determine the subsequent process. Please simply send us an e-mail in which you describe the deficiency/flaw and state either your invoice or order number. Then we will contact you with further information. You are also most welcome to attach a picture so that we have an optimal basis to make a correct decision. If an item has to be returned to us, we will cover the costs and send you a return label which you can use for the return. This way we avoid that you have to lay out any money. Please note that we do not refund postage for shipments which are sent to us without prior agreement.

When placing an order at our web shop, you have to state the following personal data about yourself: Your full name, a billing address, a delivery address, your phone number and your e-mail address.

Your personal data is registered at Rikki Tikki Shop where it is saved and stored for 5 years. We solely register your personal data in order to be able to deliver your order to you. Whenever we collect personal data from you on our website, we make sure that it always happens in agreement with you. Your data is transmitted to rikkitikkishop.com non-encrypted. Your personal data is stored safely and confidentially with us, and no information is passed on to any third parties. All employees at Rikki Tikki Shop have access to your data. We do not store your data encrypted, but we store it safely on computers which are protected by passwords.

As a registered customer at Rikki Tikki Shop you always have the right to protest against the registration of your data and to know what data we have registered about you.
